At The Youth Project, I spent weeks investigating which organizations and corporations had been specifically advertising pink-ribbon cosmetics all the while producing, manufacturing and/or selling products linked to the disease. I visited the headquarters of Breast Cancer Action in San Francisco, the non-profit leading the national 'Think Before You Pink' campaign, searched chemical databases and interviewed multiple cancer patients who'd felt deceived by specific charities.
During my summer at The Hollywood Reporter, I worked alongside a small team as we conducted a wide-ranging investigation into real estate fraud across Greater Los Angeles.
I spent three months going on daily drives from courthouses from Inglewood to Beverly Hills, sifting through thousands of claims and lawsuits targeting some of the area's largest and nationally recognized brokerages, ultimately revealing a pattern of deceptive and illegal practices throughout.
